Nedeljko Sudar, B. Sc. Civil Engineering
Position: Managing Director

An expert in hydraulic engineering with 27 years’ experience in planning and construction of a wide range of hydraulic structures for the use of water resources, river management and water quality protection, as well as projects of complex integrated management systems. He specializes in mathematical modelling of systems for various purposes, in particular pressurized piping and open channel systems, and the transfer and application of simulation results to real systems to optimize and develop appropriate management plans. He was the Key Designer and Team Leader for various complex and strategic projects, of which the most important are the following: ‘The Management of the Reservoirs and Dams in the Trebisnjica Hydropower System’, ‘The Integrated Water Management Strategy of the Republika Srpska 2015-2024’, ‘Flood Hazard and Flood Risks Maps in the Vrbas River Basin’, ‘Preliminary and Detailed Designs for the Development of Irrigation Systems in Lijevce Polje and Potkozarje’, ‘Trebisnjica River Basin District Management Plan in the Republika Srpska’, projects of rehabilitation and reconstruction of water supply systems with applied mathematical models, ‘Development of Water Supply Systems in B&H’ (MEG project), ‘Bileca and Teslic Waste Water Treatment Plant using SBR Technology’. He participated in the revision of hydraulic technical documents as the Chief Reviser and Reporting Reviser, of which the most significant are ‘Detailed Design for the Dabar HPS’ and ‘Preliminary Designs and Feasibility Studies of Buk Bijela HPS, Foca HPS, Paunci HPS and Sutjeska HPS’.  He also participated in the development of expert opinions for issuing water licences in the water sector.

He supervised numerous constructions of irrigation systems, flood control and river management systems, and public hydraulic structures.

He has an advanced knowledge of and technical experience in computers and has conversational English.

Vujadin Blagojevic, B. Sc. Civil Engineering
Position: Deputy Director

An expert in hydraulic engineering with 15 years’ experience in the development of numerous flood control projects and flood risk management. He specializes in mathematical modelling of river and canal systems. He was the key designer of several flood risk management and river management projects, of which the most important are: ‘Flood Hazard and Flood Risks Maps in the Vrbas River Basin’ (1D and 2D mathematical model of the entire basin), restoration of flash flood prone streams in Banja Luka and Tuzla, projects of the river channel management of the Turjanica in Laktasi (applying NBS), the Vrbas in Banja Luka, the Bosna in Doboj, the Drina and Janja in Semberija, the Trebišnjica in Trebinje and Popovo Polje, the Musnica in Gatacko Polje, etc. He was the key designer for the project of the drainage and development of irrigation systems in Lijevce Polje (connecting canal between the river Vrbas and the Osorna canal) and the drainage of Dabarsko Polje (canal through Dabarsko Polje). He was a member of the project team on numerous projects for management of water supply systems and strategic flood protection documents, particularly Flood Hazard and Risk Maps and the Flood Risk Management Plan for the Vrbas River Basin in the Republika Srpska, as well as numerous projects in urban hydraulic engineering. He participated in numerous hydraulic engineering project revisions and he was a member of the revision team for the detailed designs of the flow regime control and river channel management of the rivers Vrbanja, Vijaka and Ukrina, as well as the revision of the Flood Risk Management Plan for the Republika Srpska.

He was a member of the Supervisory Team for the implementation of the project ‘Flood Prevention Emergency Measures in the Republika Srpska’ which was financed by an EIB loan, at the position of the supervisor junior hydraulic engineer.

He has advanced computer skills of and technical experience thereof and a good knowledge of English. He is an author and co-author of various expert and scientific papers in hydraulic engineering.

Zlatko Davidovic, B. Sc. Civil Engineering
Position: Senior Consultant / Structural Engineering Designer

A structural engineering expert with 28 years’ experience in construction of facilities of various purposes. He has experience in developing numerous projects for hydraulic engineering structures, low-rise and high-rise structures. He is a specialist for structural analyses and actively uses Radimpex software and other geotechnical calculation software when designing hydraulic and other structures (producing reinforcement detailing, and steel and composite structures drawings). As an associate designer and responsible designer for structures, he completed a large number of complex projects and structures of various purposes, more specifically: detailed designs of the waste water treatment plants in Bileca, Bijeljina and Teslic; detailed designs of river channel management of the Bosna in Doboj, the Vrbas in Banja Luka, the Turjanica in Laktasi, the Janja in Semberija, the Trebisnjica in Trebinje, the Musnica in Gacko, etc.; detailed designs for the development of irrigation systems in Lijevce Polje (connecting canal between the river Vrbas and the Osorna canal), the irrigation system in Novo Selo, Crnjelovo, Batkovic and Kojcinovac in Bijeljina, Pelagicevo and Trebinjsko Polje (water intake structures, pumping stations, tanks); detailed designs  in the field of water supply (pumping stations and reservoirs), reconstruction of the hatchery in Foca. Snezana Vinterfeld, M. Sc. Civil Engineering
Position: Senior Consultant / Hydraulic Engineering Designer

An expert in hydraulic engineering with 25 years’ experience in numerous projects of irrigation systems, flood control, and analysis of environmental flows on rivers in the Republika Srpska, downstream of hydropower systems and on natural rivers. She has a good knowledge of measures and methods for improvement of flow regimes using management measures in the conditions of low flows, to achieve favourable environmental conditions in rivers and riparian zones. She was the Chief Designer and a project team member on several projects of flood control and water management in the conditions of low flows and the development of irrigation systems. The most important are: Study ‘The Determination of an Environmental Flow of the Trebisnjica downstream from the Trebinje 1 HPS’,  Studies for management of the Drenova reservoir in Prnjavor and the Vrba and Klinje reservoirs in Gacko, Study ‘The Determination of Environmental Flows for the Seven Profiles in the Trebisnjica River Basin District in the Republika Srpska’, Survey to determine environmental flow downstream from the Visegrad HPS,  ‘Preliminary and Detailed Designs for the Development of the Irrigation System in Semberija.

She was a member of the Supervisory Team for the implementation of the project ‘Flood Prevention Emergency Measures in the Republika Srpska’ which is financed by an EIB loan, at the position of the supervisor senior hydraulic engineer. She was a member of the Supervisory Team for the development of the water supply from the Vrbovac source in Odzak and the Chief Supervisor for the construction of the irrigation system in Pelagicevo.

She is responsible for analyses of compliance with tender documents and preparation of bidding documents.

Dejan Hrkalovic, B. Sc. Civil Engineering
Position: Senior Consultant / Hydraulic Engineering Designer 

An expert in hydraulic engineering with 19 years’ experience specially engaged in the application of modern technologies in the design and planning of hydraulic engineering systems. He has years of experience in applying GIS technology (ESRI ArcGIS geospatial analyses and databases), multi-criteria analyses in designing and developing management plans in water sector. He was a Team Leader for the project ‘The Trebisnjica River Basin District Management Plan in the Republika Srpska’. He participated in numerous projects as a Coordinator and a member of the project team, of which the most important are: Flood Defence Operations Plan and Preliminary Flood Risk Assessment for the Sava and Trebisnjica basins in the Republika Srpska, project ‘Flood Protection in Bosnia and Herzegovina’: ‘Flood Protection of Semberija against the Flood Flows of the Drina’ and ‘Preliminary and Detailed Designs of the Left Drina Dyke in Semberija’; MEG project ‘Development of Water Supply Systems in B&H’ (work in GIS), ‘Reconstruction and Update of the Erosion Map for the Republika Srpska’ (development and design of GIS database for the RS Erosion Map), ‘Flood Hazard and Flood Risk Maps for the Vrbas River Basin’ (developing database, GIS analyses and hazard and flood risk analyses), flow regime control and river channel improvement projects, and development of irrigation systems in Crnjelovo, Batkovic and Kojcinovac, as well as urban hydraulic engineering projects, where the most significant was the waste water treatment plant in Teslic.

Svetlana Nikolic, M. Sc. Civil Engineering
Position: Senior Consultant / Hydraulic Engineering Designer

An expert in hydraulic engineering with 25 years’ experience mostly engaged in the control of flow regimes and the management of river channels, as well as in the development of flood risk management plans through planning the erosion control measures in river basins. She was a Chief Designer, Coordinator and a project team member in several flood control and management of water system projects, of which the most important are: ‘Detailed Design for Emergency Relocation of the Degraded River Channel of the Musnica’, ‘Preliminary and Detailed Designs for the Control of Flow Regime of the Janja in Semberija’, study for managing reservoirs (the Drenova in Prnjavor, and the Vrba and Klinje in Gacko), ‘Preliminary and Detailed Designs for the Development of the Irrigation System in Potkozarje’, ‘Reconstruction and Update of the Erosion Map for the Republika Srpska’, numerous flood control projects and development of irrigation systems, including the projects for the management of flash flood prone river basins in Banja Luka and Tuzla.

A hydraulic engineer with 10 years’ experience in developing river management, flood control and urban hydraulic engineering projects. He analyses flow regimes in HEC-RAS and MIKE 11 software packages and uses GIS. He participated in the implementation of numerous projects as a member of the project team: detailed designs for the river channel management of the Vrbas in Banja Luka, the Bosna in Doboj, the Drina and Janja in Semberija; detailed designs for the development of irrigation systems in Lijevce Polje in Potkozarje, ‘Detailed Design for the Drainage of Dabarsko Polje’, MEG project ‘Development of Water Supply Systems in B&H’ (work in GIS), and other urban hydraulic engineering projects, including the development of the water supply system in Gradiska and waste water treatment plant in Teslic.

A hydraulic engineer with 7 years’ experience in designing river management, flood control and urban hydraulic engineering projects. He analyses flow regimes in HEC-RAS and MIKE 11 software packages, and uses EPA NET software package for pressurized piping systems and GIS. As a chief designer for urban hydraulic engineering, he implemented the project of rehabilitation, reconstruction, and development of the water supply system in Gradiska, and the reconstruction of the hatchery in Foca. He participated in numerous projects as a designer: detailed designs for the river channel management of the Vrbas in Banja Luka and the Turjanica in Laktasi; ‘Preliminary and Detailed Designs for the Development of Irrigation Systems in Potkozarje’; ‘Detailed Design for the Drainage in Dabarsko Polje’; MEG project ‘Development of Water Supply Systems in B&H’ (work in GIS and development of mathematical models of water supply systems); and other hydraulic engineering projects. He is a specialist in mathematical modelling of pressurized systems. Marko Filipovic, M. Sc. Civil Engineering
Position: Senior Consultant / Structural Engineering Designer

As a structural engineer with 6 years’ experience, he designs hydraulic engineering works for hydraulic structures. As a responsible designer for structures, he completed the project of rehabilitation, reconstruction, and development of the water supply system in Gradiska, and among other projects, the reconstruction of the hatchery in Foca. He participated in numerous projects for structural engineering works: detailed designs for the river channel management of the Trebisnjica in Trebinje, the Turjanica in Laktasi; Preliminary and Detailed Designs for the Development of Irrigation Systems in Kojčinovac in Bijeljina; wastewater treatment plant in Teslić. He is trained to analyse structural calculations in Tower 8, ArmCad 6 and Metal Studio software.

He actively provided technical support to the Structural Engineer in the project ‘Flood Prevention Emergency Measures in the Republika Srpska’ which was financed by EIB loan. He has been studying a PhD programme at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade since 2023. He has advanced computer skills of and technical experience thereof and a good knowledge of English.

Tamara Sudar, M. Sc. Civil Engineering
Position: Senior Consultant / Hydraulic Engineering Designer

A hydraulic engineer, with 4 years’ experience, works as a designer in hydraulic engineering, hydraulic management of water systems, and flood control projects. She is trained to carry out hydraulic analyses of flow regimes in HEC-RAS and MIKE 11 software package. As a responsible designer, she completed hydraulic analyses of the flood wave due to a potential breach of the Nedavic Dam (the Ulog HPS); nature-based solutions (NBS) in the Preliminary and Detailed Designs of the flow regime control of the Turjanica River; the river channel management of the Drinjaca River in the Vitinka business development; the Preliminary Design of the Mrsovo 2 HPS and the Ulog HPS and Reservoir Management Plan. As a member of the project team, she participated in the following projects: Development of Flood Hazard and Risk Maps for the Trebisnjica River Basin District in the Republika Srpska; Development of Forecast Hydrological and Hydraulic Models for the Bosna River – Phase I (the Ukrina with the Vijak, Tinja and Brka); as well as other current projects in the field of hydraulic engineering. She is engaged in doctoral studies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade. Under the auspices of the German Federal Environment Foundation, she spent 12 months as a visiting researcher at the Technical University of Hamburg. The topic of the research was the application of nature-based solutions (NBS) to reduce hydrometeorological risks in river basins and the creation of hydrological and hydraulic models for the analysis of the impact of NBS.

As a member of the team of the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade, she actively participates in the HORIZON 2020 RECONECT project (EU associate – the Vrbanja river basin, B&H).

She has been studying a PhD programme at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade since 2019. She is an author and co-author of various expert and scientific papers in hydraulic engineering. She has advanced computer skills of and technical experience thereof and a good knowledge of English.

As a responsible designer, she participated in the development of the Detailed Design for the Relocation of the Musnica River Channel in Gatacko polje; the Flash Flood Mapping Study and the Planning of Protective Measures in the City of Banja Luka; the Preliminary and Detailed Designs of the Economic Feasibility of the construction of the Mrsovo 2 HPS; the Ulog HPS and Reservoir Management Plan.  As a designer, she participated in the following projects: Development of Flood Hazard and Risk Maps for the Trebisnjica River Basin District in the Republika Srpska; Development of Forecast Hydrological and Hydraulic Models for the Bosna River – Phase I (the Ukrina with the Vijak, Tinja and Brka); as well as other current projects in the field of hydraulic engineering, particularly hydraulic modelling and planning protection measures during development of the Detailed Design of the Reconstruction of the Main Lateral Canal in Bijeljina. She was a member of the project team that implemented the methodology for mapping areas at risk of flash floods. The methodology was tested in flash flood prone basins in the cities of Banja Luka and Tuzla, which was used as a basis for a scientific paper. She is qualified for hydraulic modeling of flash floods with sediment transport analysis and river bank erosion analysis.

She has been studying a PhD programme at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Belgrade since 2019. She is an author and co-author of various expert and scientific papers in hydraulic engineering. She has advanced computer skills of and technical experience thereof and a good knowledge of English.

Goran Sudar, M. Sc. Civil Engineering
Position: Associate Designer, Hydraulic Engineering Trainee

Trainee hydraulic engineer, associate in the preparation and development of projects in hydraulic engineering, water management systems, hydropower, flood protection, and urban hydraulic engineering. Trained to carry out hydraulic analyses of flow regimes in commercial software (HEC-RAS, EPA NET, etc.), as well as specialized software for 2D and 3D modelling of hydraulic structures.

As a member of the project team, he is involved in the technical preparation of the following projects:  reconstruction of the Main Lateral Canal; the construction of the Dabar HPP canal and its associated facilities; and the wastewater sanitation and treatment in Nova Topola in Gradiska.

Sasa Jovicic, B. Sc. Information Technology
Position: IT Specialist

An information technology engineer, with 10 years’ experience, in charge of logistic information support in developing project documents, maintenance and development of computer equipment in the company, and enhancing software support.

He provides logistic and technical support in the company, including completion of ongoing flow regime control projects. He also provided technical support for the supervision of the project ‘Flood Prevention Emergency Measures in the Republika Srpska’ which was financed by EIB loan.

He has advanced computer skills of and technical experience thereof and a good knowledge of English.

Daliborka Maletic, BA English Language
Position: Technical Secretary and Translator

An English Language Teacher with 26 years’ experience in translating and providing technical support. She is responsible for general business affairs in the company, providing support in the development of project documents and translating documents into English.

She was the Technical Secretary at the Supervisory Office for the implementation of the project ‘Flood Prevention Emergency Measures in the Republika Srpska’ which was financed by an EIB loan.

She has advanced computer skills of and technical experience thereof and is proficient in English.
